That score holds to the break, Hamdi leads 3-0. Valencia could not get anything going in the 2nd period and neither could Hamdi. Time expires and that is it, Hamdi wins 3-0.

Bronze – Alexandra Hedrick vs Laura Almaganbetova (Kazakhstan)

Hedrick gets behind for 2 and picks up an exposure on a gut wrench to go up 4-0. Hedrick picks up a step out point to go up 5-0 head to the break. Tokuhara picks up 2 on exposure from a front headlock position to go up 2-0. Nice whip over from Tokuhara for 2 to make it 4-0. Tokuhara on the attack and she gets behind Basham for 2 more and takes a 6-0 lead to the break. Tokuhara gets behind for another takedown to make it 8-0. Tokuhara in on a double leg that goes out of bounds, step out awarded so it is 9-0 and that is it. Tokuhara wins 9-0.

Bronze – Lexie Basham vs Solomiia Vynnyk (Ukraine)

Basham on the attack but a great counter from Vynnyk and she picks up 4 to lead 4-0 early. Body lock from Vynnyk and she goes feet to back for 4 points, add a turn and that is it. Vynnyk wins 10-0.

Renteria is put on the shot clock to open things up, no score change so Guilford goes up 1-0. We head to the break with Guilford leading 1-0. Body lock for Guilford but in a scramble Renteria picks up 2 on exposure and she has a 2-1 lead. Last desperation shots do not come up with anything, Renteria wins 2-1 and Guilford takes home SILVER.
